In the name of Secularism
I needed a place to hide
faraway from the swords and daggers
in the name of the Jihadis!
I ran from place to place
and a good samaritan showed me a place
the very, where I was born
and the Power that be of Secularistic Scholars!
So I stopped running
till one day I found myself
in the grip of Highly Secularistic Marxists
who asked me politely to "Run!"
So I ran again from nowhere
Till a faraway Rajput land gave me a place to Breathe
I had my First Peaceful Coffee in a while!
when the Secularists Security whisked me away again!
They asked me to announce my credentials
and threatened me not to express my Real fellings inside
In other words
I shdnt express in the name of "LIterature what I 'really' Feel"
Since ,I have been running for my Breath
I stood in silence
in a place I presume is a corner near a coroners office
may be My body is next in line!
Till suddenly I found a friend in the most hated Man of the Land
As his Secularism is not to the liking of Marxists Morals
he even vouchsafed 'total protection for me'
But I had to deny myself the pleasure of his call!
Not that I doubted his Sincere Secularism
But the power be in Delhi wanted it so
as the votes are what matters in this land
and Taslima can be tossed for another Heavier Vote!
Leave my literary skills they admire
But why a Husaains Painting of Saraswathi in Nude is 'Artistic Brilliance'
a Land known for Manu Needhi and what not
I am amazed how long this Prison of mine will be secure!
I intend to write and write
of my feelings of Secularism I have seen
in this land of Buddha's & Kabir'sGreatness
But only in my heart and inside my heart!
As I am not even allowed to write
on paper or pen I am denied as a refugee
as Secularistic Credentials of the people in Power
May be sacrificed by my own interpretation of Secularism!
I
resign
myself
to
myfate!

Rajah: The land of Mohandas, Kabir and the Buddha has become the land of charlatans. You wrote this in November knowing the final outcome !

The CPI-M on Monday appeared unimpressed with Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen's decision to withdraw controversial pages from her autobiography, saying there were 'many other books' too.
Are the CPIM now the champions of Muslim fundamentalists too??!
Seems like these country haters, haters of liberty and freedom, atheists and socialists are more worried abt Islam than Ismaists!

This is our secular India and secular Left - champion of the oppressed.
I fail to understand why people in WB support them.

Excellent blog. Your short poem is more powerful than a thousand word article in exposing the 'fake-secularism' of marxists.

Very well written ... It highlight the duplicity of these people with precision.
